Jenny Whiteley set to perform rare local concert to launch new cd.

On Friday April 16, two-time Juno winner, Jenny Whiteley is set to perform at The McDonald's Corners Agricultural Hall.  Jenny will take the stage at 8:30, following a set of music by Elphin's own Joey Wright.
 
Joey was nominated for a Juno last year, and will perform some of his dazzling and beautiful instrumental compositions on both mandolin and guitar. He will also be previewing some new original songs, due to be released on cd this year.
 
Jenny will be bringing a full band for this concert! She will be accompanied by her brother, the incredible Dan Whiteley on mandolin, guitar and some drums. Also joining Jenny is Toronto's lap steele sensation, Christine Bougie, and Joey Wright will be on the bass.
 
Jenny's new album, entitled Forgive or Forget is currently in the top ten on the CBC radio 3 chart, and has been receiving rave reviews from Canadian and international press. Don't miss the chance to see Jenny on her home turf.
 
Anyone who has seen Jenny's concerts before will know to expect lots of laughs and stories as well as great songwriting. And then there's the voice...Jenny's rich and far-ranging vocals will be heard at their best in the beautiful old wooden hall in McDonald's Corners.

Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm, and age of majority id required at the bar. The Agricultural Hall is located in the heart of the village of McDonald's Corners, tucked in behind the general store. Look for the red balloons!
