Jenny Whiteley set to perform rare local concert to launch new cd.
April 8th 2010 On Friday April 16, two-time Juno winner, Jenny Whiteley is set to perform at The McDonald's Corners Agricultural Hall. Jenny will take the stage at 8:30, following a set of music by Elphin's own Joey Wright. Joey was nominated for a Juno last year, and will perform some of his dazzling and beautiful instrumental compositions on both mandolin and guitar. He will also be previewing some new original songs, due to be released on cd this year. Jenny will be bringing a full band for this concert! She will be accompanied by her brother, the incredible Dan Whiteley on mandolin, guitar and some drums. Also joining Jenny is Toronto's lap steele sensation, Christine Bougie, and Joey Wright will be on the bass. Jenny's new album, entitled Forgive or Forget is currently in the top ten on the CBC radio 3 chart, and has been receiving rave reviews from Canadian and international press.
