New Direction for the Studio Theatre

September 24th 2008

There are exciting changes happening at Perths beautiful Studio Theatre! With BarnDoor Productions ending its long tenure as resident company, the Studio Theatres doors will be wide open for community-produced plays, musical performances and other special events.

Were becoming a true community theatre. Like never before, our stage is available to local directors, actors, musicians and for special events. Its an exciting time to be part of theatre in Perth!

With this new direction comes the need for new people to get involved and bring their fresh ideas to the project. Volunteers and members are the backbone of a facility like the Studio Theatre, and theres room for anyone who wants to direct a play, play a role, pick up a paint brush, build a set, run the snack bar, serve on the board of directors or simply donate to the ongoing support funding of this new thrust.

If you are already a member or volunteer or would like to join Perths Studio Theatre family and become part of the exciting new theatre-of-the-future, please join us for an open meeting at the Studio Theatre, Tuesday October 7 at 7:00 p.m. Meet the board, other members and share your ideas and enthusiasm.

Perth needs a true community theatre and together we can make it happen!
